Procurement contracting specialist

Responsibilities

-The role is strategic, but will also offer close cooperation with the operational side. It will report to the Procurement Manager Subsurface. The Well Construction category includes services such as directional drilling, wireline logging, drilling fluids, cementing – and all other well construction and well completion services. Activities withing other parts of the Subsurface area, as well as within Subsea and Projects, could also be relevant.
-Support the Procurement Manager Subsurface in developing category and subcategory strategies, monitor supplier markets, create demand forecasts, analyse spend, assess suppliers, identify and act on opportunities for added value;
-Implement activities defined in the category strategies, including agreeing final specifications and setting commercial conditions, define critical performance factors, manage tender processes, evaluation of proposals, conducting negotiations up to contract award;
-Manage contracts and follow up suppliers with regards to adherence to contractual conditions, contract variations and amendments; handle disputes and claims;
-Manage supplier relationships; monitor supplier performance, support the drive for continuous improvement and supplier development, collect supplier feedback, reduce the cost of poor quality and non-productive time (NPT), optimise supply chain processes;
-For larger capital projects and operations, be part of the project organisation, establish a project procurement strategy, coordinate between the project and the supply chain organisation, provide supply chain reports, manage non-conformities;

Required expertise

-What we expect We are looking for a well-rounded senior professional who can significantly contribute to our Subsurface team. Ideally, we want you to have all of the below qualities and experience. If you can’t tick every one of them off, you could still be the right person – if you have the right attitude!  
-Master’s degree in relevant field of study (economics, engineering, legal) or equivalent experience
-Minimum 5 years’ experience in strategic procurement in the E&P industry
-Technical knowledge and understanding of the Well Construction category
-Knowledge of global markets within the Well Construction category; extensive knowledge of the NCS market in particular
-Knowledge of contract management (contracting skills, applicable law, Incoterms)
-Experience from or knowledge of methods for development of procurement strategies, specification assessments, tender management, tender evaluation, risk management, supplier management, internal business partner management, logistics / supply chain management, operational procurement
-Excellent negotiation skills with proven records
-Flexible and willing to travel
